Football matches in Bavaria will take place for the time being without viewers. The Bavarian Cabinet decided in the midst of the fourth corona wave a corresponding tightening of the measures.
The new decisions are already valid from this Saturday and relate to the entire professional port for supraregional leagues, as Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) announced at the subsequent press conference.
The home games of Football Bundesliga club FC Augsburg against VFL Bochum and the second division 1. FC Nuremberg against Holstein Kiel must take place on Saturday with empty ranks. Until when the regulation applies, Sober did not say at first.
Federal Government and country chiefs had agreed on Thursday that a maximum of 50 percent of capacity may be used. Outdoors it may be at most 15,000 spectators, in Bavarias halls up to 5000 spectators. In regions with very high infection numbers, large events should even be canceled or in Bavarias at least ghost games are enforced.
