Updating the living ship of No Man’s Sky introduced organic spaces made of extraterrestrial flesh to allow you to fly. If you are new in the game, it may take a while before you can get your hands on 1. If you cannot yet invoke an anomaly, you will have to continue the game until you have discovered your first in the vastness of the space, and after that, you can put yourself in the long task to get your Living vessel.
- Step 1 - The anomaly
- Step 2 - Egg melody
- Step 3 - Find a portal
- Step 4 - Via the portal
- Step 5 - Return to space
- Step 6 - Starbirth
Step 1 - The anomaly
Your first step is to go to space, invoke the anomaly and then get an empty egg. You can buy an empty egg for 3200 Quicksilver. If you don't have enough Quicksilver, it's time to remove certain daily and weekly missions on the Nexus.
Step 2 - Egg melody
When you have your empty egg, go back to space and start distorting. After a random number of deformations, you will receive a message and the melody stage of the egg will start. It is a question of distorting, because you will obtain a random message by distorting a random number of times. Save the message you may receive, because there are thirteen possible messages that you could receive. You will get new messages to what seems to be random intervals, based on a random number of channels. The first twelve messages are references to certain glyph locations you will need later, while the last will indicate the galaxy you need to progress in the quest.
Step 3 - Find a portal
When you have every 13 messages, it's time to find a portal. All planets should have a portal on them. Finding it can take a little time, but simply choose a planet and explore until you manage to find it. All the portals are alike and consist of a collection of large blocks and stone, with a number of circles inlaid in the center. When you find a portal, you must enter the messages of the messages in the order they have been received.
Step 4 - Via the portal
Once all the glyphs entered the portal, it will transport you on a new planet and you will get another message. Follow the message instructions to get to a location in this solar system. When you arrive, you will receive another message telling you to "watch us in the stars".
Step 5 - Return to space
Go back to space and fly at the speed of the pulse until your ship detects an anomaly. If you abandon the speed of the pulse, you will meet a living ship, and it will start the Starbirth mission.
Step 6 - Starbirth
The Starbirth mission is to follow the instructions of your empty egg to find certain planets and components you need for your living ship. Because all this is random, just like the order of glyphs, we cannot show you where you will have to go. Once you have found the right planet, you will give contact details when you enter the atmosphere, so if you do not get them, you will have to try another planet.
Follow the coordinates, land, then search for a relic that will give you the plan you need to build a ship component. Build the component and you will go to the next part of the quest. Simply follow the Void Egg's instructions, find all the parts you need and build them, and a living vessel will be yours.
